Hard drives fail, laptops get dropped, server crash, and that unimaginable natural disaster… happens. Data loss comes usually over night without to alert you. It happens when you start your computer, server or without any forewarning during a running system. It is incalculable and it means for many firms and companies “state for emergency”. That means the production won’t work forward because everything is dependent on servers and personal computers. The question is what should you do when you lost your data on your hard drive?
There are many ways to protect your files and data on your hard drive:
. Most secure way is to make a copy of your files everyday because you never know what happens in the next few seconds. You can always make an image from your hard drive into an external hard drive. There are many software for that like Paragon Drive Backup, Symantec. I usually use the Paragon products.
. You can cover your files in internet too. There are few services in internet who make images from your files. You can do that in three simple steps: login, create a backup set, and schedule day, time and how often it should be saved. Anytime you can download your backup image to your personal computer to restore it again. I know the best service in internet and you can get it here by Xdrive.
These two ways are to protect your files but what would you do when you never used these programs and your hard drive is crashed? There many ways to recover your system and data but it is important to know, what kind of hardware you are using, how important are your files, and how many knowledge you have about hardware and computers.
Usually you can save partial of important files with the usual deductible tools at the market like R-Tools, Stellar Phoenix, or Recover my Files. These programs are good but there isn’t any guarantee that you can get back all your files. And that could be a big problem. Second you cannot recover your files on a RAID system with those programs. That way you can restore maybe some of your files what you are missing and it is possible only when you have an IDE drive system.
But what should you do when your RAD system is crashed and you cannot find any data and files on your hard drive? In this case you should call a RAD System Specialist. After your call maybe you can do some steps before you send your hard drives to the specialist:
. First step you have to label your hard drives by a RAID system like Drive 1, Drive 2, and so on.
.Find the S-ATA cables what are connecting your hard drive to your motherboard (Mainboard)
. Don‘t unplug them before you label the ports. Port 1 will be labeled as Port 1 when it is connected to Drive 1; Port 2 will be labeled as Port 2 when it is connected to drive 2 and so on.
. When you are done with labeling then disconnect your hard drives from the motherboard. After that it is time for a specialist for RAID systems.
. After disconnecting your hard drives, your computer should be unplugged and stay in a secure room and no one should touch or try to turn on your system again till you have tour hard drives back.
. If your computer is connected to a network, then it should be disconnected from the network device.
. Send your hard drives with a post currier as a express package or bring them to your specialist by yourself.
You should be very careful with a RAID System. They are very sensitive and you could lose your files and data for ever if you do something wrong. If you don’t have enough knowledge about computers and hardware, you should call your specialist and they will do everything for you.
There few good firms you call and get a good services like:
They cost money but you can be sure you can recover all your important files and data.
I hope I could help you to save your firm and company.
