The first notebooks with Chrome OS will be available in third quarter of 2010. Google promises a completely new approach with saver architecture. Chrome OS will load the applications from the Google's cloud.
Google has officially announced its own operating system today. It will be based on the browser chrome. The Google lovers will be able to purchase the first notebooks based on the Google´s Chrome OS in 2010.
A Linux-Secondary works under the surface of Chrome OS, but the applications run on the Web in a computing cloud – the same concept that already does with "Google Docs" or "Gmail".
"We create Google chrome OS for those who spend most of their time on the Web." "It is suitable for computers of all sizes - from the notebooks to desktops", writes Google's Vice President for product marketing Sundar Pichai and engineering Director Linus Upson in their blog post. The today´s operating systems are designed as there was no Web. Chrome OS is based on internet application, adds Google's Vice President in their blog.
Chrome OS has three important benefits: "Speed, simplicity and security". The security architecture created completely new, the users do not have to deal with viruses, spyware, and security updates.
Chrome OS runs on processors with the X86 architecture and ARM. Google will initially give no additional technical information about Chrome OS.
