Last Wednesday Microsoft officially presented its next multimedia player and iPod touch competitors Zune HD. Already in the fall, the mobile player will come in the shops, said the company speaker.
Previously, Microsoft mentioned that Zune HD will be available in Europe and other countries outside of the U.S., but now it become known that the software giant won´t bring the Zune HD as its new multimedia player in the European countries.
Microsoft speaker Felix Petzel said that the company had currently no plans to offer Zune HD outside the United States. It is not known why Microsoft decided to publish Zune HD only in the U.S. because the first two generations of Microsoft playback device “Zune” were sold outside the United States and it has been very successful in the European countries such as Germany and Austria.
Zune HD is a multi-touch screen with a OLED-Display. It has wireless internet, a HD radio receiver, HD video output, and a browser for surfing in the internet. The display has the resolution of 480 x 272 pixels. You can also play the content on a television using an HDMI port.
