For Persians, their true flag is still the famous gold colored "Lion & Sun" emblem on the same tri-colored (Green, White and Red). This sacred flag was banned by the Mullah Regime in its effort to minimize the feelings of Nationalism amongst the Persians.
Iranian´s campaign is conducted after U.S. model with new mass technologies SMS (Text-Messaging), E-Mails, blogs, and online networks - also in the Iranian`s presidential campaign, the new mass technologies come for first time to support oppositions.
In a country where you can´t even talk against your leaders, most people are using transportable laud speakers to demonstrate against the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The campaign against Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is in Obama-Style. Attack your opponents with mass media technology in any form. This is a new era in communication technology that succeeded Barack Obama´s campaign against his opponent Senator John McCain.
Ahmadinejad´s opponents Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi have started a text messaging campaign. The messages sound very interesting: “if you do not want to vote, then just think about 13. June that you will hear Ahmadinejad was re-elected again” or “Vote for Mousavi on 13. June and send this message to 10 others, if you do not do that, then you will have nightmares.”
The targets are the young people in the cities. This could be very critical because the younger voters just helped the former President Mohammad Khatami for victory in 1997 and 2001.
Facebook is one of the most important online networks against Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. 150,000 young Iranians are registered in Facebook and they are potential voters for Ahmadinejad´s opponents. Iranian government blocked Facebook last week which was canceled few days ago after big demonstrations in Tehran. 23 of 70 millions Iranians have access to the internet and more than 45 million of Iranians call with cell phones. That means Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi can´t ignore these potential voters.
Ahmadinejad´s supporters send text-messages and emails too, but the problem is, who usually supports Ahmadinejad does not live in the big cities and the Internet connections and cell phone are used most in big cities.
Bad for Ahmadinejad.
