Internet Explorer 8 is right now in Beta version and under development. The Redmond Company has told that they are working hard on a new version of Internet Explorer called Internet Explorer 8 and it will be published by the end of 2007.

There are many other internet browsers under development like Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox 3, Opera 9, and etc. But the big question is, which one will be the winner for new features, functionality, graphical user interface, and security.

I believe that internet explorer 8 will have the same graphical user interface like internet explorer 7. I think that was a big step for Microsoft to change the user interface by internet explorer 7 and it was very important for Redmond Company Microsoft because the biggest concurrent Firefox was going to be more popular than internet explorer. The Mozilla Firefox Company understood much earlier what the users like.

I believe that internet explorer is still the most popular internet browser because of some reason.

-Internet Explorer is integrated into the Microsoft Windows. When you install your brand new Microsoft Windows in any version like Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Server, and newest one Windows Vista, then you get Internet Explorer automatically on your computer. That means that over %80 of internet users start to surf in internet with internet explorer and many of them keep using it because they don`t know about the alternatives to the internet explorer from Microsoft.

-Still the internet explorer is showing websites much better than others like Firefox and Opera. There are millions of websites you can see every single details much better with internet explorer than the concurrent like Firefox, Opera, and Netscape.

-Overall, the interface is far leaner and more polished than Firefox and Opera and even more convenient than the beloved Firefox. Many of things people like Firefox have been implemented in Internet Explorer latest version 7 and have been polished to be more streamlined and useful. That means you get installed internet explorer on your computer automatically with all good features from Firefox and little more.

Internet Explorer the Features

Streamlined interface

A redesigned, streamlined interface maximizes the area of the screen that displays a webpage, so you see more of what you need, and less of what you don't.

Advanced printing

Internet Explorer 7 automatically scales a webpage for printing, so the entire webpage fits on your printed page. Print options also include adjustable margins, customizable page layouts, removable headers and footers, and an option to print only selected text.

Instant Search box

Web searches using your favorite search provider can now be entered into a search box within the toolbar, eliminating the clutter of separate toolbars. You can easily choose a provider from the dropdown list or add more providers.

Favorites Center

Get quick and easy access to your Favorites, Tab Groups, Browsing History, and RSS Feed subscriptions. Your Favorites Center expands when needed, and can be anchored in place for even easier access.

RSS feeds

Internet Explorer 7 automatically detects RSS feeds on sites and illuminates an icon on the toolbar. A single click on the icon allows you to preview and subscribe to the RSS feed if you want—so you’re automatically notified as content is updated. Read RSS feeds directly in the browser, scan for important stories, and filter your view with search terms or site-specific categories.

Tabbed browsing

View multiple sites in a single browser window. Easily switch from one site to another through tabs at the top of the browser frame.

Quick Tabs

Easily select and navigate through open tabs by displaying thumbnails of them all in a single window.

Tab Groups

Tabs can be grouped and saved into logical categories, so you can open multiple tabs with a single click. A Tab Group can easily be set as the Home Page Group so the entire Tab Group opens every time Internet Explorer is launched.

Page zoom

Enlarge individual WebPages, including both text and graphics, to either focus on specific content or to make content more accessible to those with vision limitations.

But overall I like it much better than any other browser I've used. I've said it before and I will say it again: Microsoft's Explorer is still command the vast majority of the Web browser market. Mozilla Firefox should be watching Internet Explorer 8 carefully because Internet Explorer 8 will be better than any other concurrent like Firefox, Opera, and Netscape by leaps and bounds.
