Microsoft has announced that the preliminary of beta version of Windows 7 will be published the end of October. It will be likely a pre-beta edition.
This beta version will be delivered personally to the developers at the Microsoft Professional Developers Conference 2008 (PDC). It won´t be available for download but it will be sent, and distributed to the participants of the PDC on an external hard disk.
Probably, this beta version will be Build 6780, that in the last few days many details have appeared.
The main topic of PDC will be about Windows 7, Software, and Services. The preliminary version of Windows Vista will be delivered to developers in the external HDDs because the files can´t be accommodated useful on DVDs.
