The next generation of Windows operation system is called “Windows 7”. Microsoft plans for the first beta version which the developers will start testing it in the coming December.

Microsoft is working on the third Milestone of Windows 7. They have chosen a small group of developers who will receive a Windows 7 DVD which contains the first beta version around middle of December 20087.
Microsoft will have two important events in the fall and they will publish more information about Windows 7. These events are known as Professional Developers Conference (PDC) and Windows Hardware Engineering Conference (WinHEC). Everyone thought that Microsoft will give every visitor a test version of Windows 7 but it won´t happen this year. I will be there and I will report about these events.
Microsoft announced that the beta version of Windows 7 will contain all new features which are planned for the final version. Microsoft will present the new features for the public which is called Community Technology Preview (CTP).
Microsoft believes that Windows 7 will be on the market in the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010. It is very unusual for having so short time for testing the beta version. Microsoft believes they are able to finish the final version of Windows 7 on time because the ex-manager of Microsoft Office 2007 “Steven Sinofsky” is directing the project of Windows 7.
I am very excited for the first official beta version of Windows 7. I am sure I will publish it for download when it is so far.
