The idea is so simple and effective. If it has worked in reality it can work in the virtual internet too. Chinese made the world known Chinese Wall 500 years ago to protect China from Mongols. Now China needs a virtual wall to protect itself from the information and News which come from other countries. The Chinese regime has created a virtual wall against News and information from the internet. The Chinese call this firewall the “Golden Shield”.
In reality it is the most clever firewall system which monitors the internet 24/7 and censors the News and information around the globe. If someone looks for example for the keywords Tibet or Taiwan in a search engine such as Google and Yahoo, he/she will get an error message that “Your connection to the internet has been disconnected”. In the background of this system are working 30,000 Internet-Police to watch the internet. Technically, the Routers and Filter-Software block the free information-flow.
Unfortunately the European and American firms have developed this giant virtual firewall with Chinese regime. So the American Network-experts Cisco setup and arms this virtual firewall for Chinese Regime.
The delivered Routers from Cisco filter the junk IP-Addresses. With this system they can block the entire website such as NBC News, YouTube, FaceBook, VOA, and etc. The Cisco Spokeswoman in Germany told that Cisco has never developed any new system for Chinese. They are using the same system, which we use here in Europe and America.
The virtual Chinese Wall filters the Domains and the requested websites. The Chinese Censor-Machine receives a mirror of the requested searches keywords and controls the IP-Addresses. Then it blocks or redirects the undesirable keywords and Junk IP-Addresses to a government friendly website. Then the government employees inspect and control the entire website for banned words and texts. If they find a forbidden word, then it disconnects the network to the server and website. It takes only 10 minutes to inspect the entire website.
Microsoft, Google and Yahoo are working together with Chinese Regime to censor the News and Information from the internet. In the Western countries, we are talking about the human rights in China and the censors in internet, but other side in the background we are helping them to create a giant virtual firewall to inspect and block internet. Actually the Western countries are playing a double moral game.
The Chinese have developed a giant virtual firewall with help from Europe and America. The experts believe that the Chinese Regime is selling this technique to other countries such as Iran, Cuba, and etc.
While the European and American do not stop their double moral game we cannot stop regimes such as China, who do not give any opportunity to their people to be free.
