Skype is the most popular VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), because you are able to call from your computer to another computer for free and it do not matter where these computers located in the world.
There is report that since a few days Skype has installed backdoors into their VoIP system. With the new installed backdoor Skype is able to listen to your calls and record it if it requires.
The new installed backdoor into the Skype software and system will stay a mystery because Skype has not approved this report. A spokesman of the Skype Company said "there are no further comments about the backdoors in Skype.”
The investigators believe that Skype is able to listen the data-stream and they have the technology to decode the data stream for further uses such as listening or recording.
Meanwhile, there are many speculations about the backdoors in Skype system, that the Company has sold this technology to the interested countries.
Reports about a possible backdoor in Skype are not new. The reason for all these speculations is that Skype has never shown the system protocol and the background functionality of Skype.
