The market researchers at Hitwise Intelligence have recently published an investigation, which takes the Yahoo-Google-Deal under the loupe. It seems the partnership with Google is a new way to success for Yahoo.
50 percent of Yahoo users are informed about the partnership between Yahoo and Google and they search more in Yahoo than before, it says in the report of investigation period. They found it out with Yahoo´s website popularity in the last 6 weeks.
The visitor’s popularity of Yahoo´s Mail service has increased over 37.5 percent and the second place goes to Yahoo portal with 30-6 percent.
Usually Yahoo´s search engine generates only 12.1 percent of Yahoo traffic but the report of Hitwise Intelligence says that the traffic in Yahoo´s search engine has increased during the time of investigation.
It is a bad News for Microsoft because Microsoft wanted to buy Yahoo. Recently, Microsoft´s chief Steve Ballmer has told that the deal with Yahoo is still on the table.
