Windows Vista is the latest operation system from Microsoft and also the most secure operation on the planet. Microsoft has started a new strategy for publishing Windows operation systems. Windows Vista came for first time with many variations and prices. Because of that many Windows Vista users have problems with Windows Vista Registration, product key and activation.
Here are 3 important changes which you need to know about your Windows Vista if you want to change to a higher level of Windows Vista.
How can I change the registered owner of Windows Vista?
With four steps you can change the registered owner and organization just with just changing two registry files.
1. Go to Start and type in Regedit in the search box and click Enter.
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE / Microsoft / Windows NT / CurrentVersion.
3. Open with a double click the files RegisteredOwner and RegisteredOrganization and modify the names to what you like to.
4. Reboot your computer and you are ready to go.
In Window Vista you can upgrade your version to higher level such as Vista ultimate but you have to insert your Vista DVD to install all new files too. But you can change your product key in three easy steps which allows you to activate your Windows Vista properly. You need only one command line to change your Vista serial number.
How can I change my Windows Vista product key?
1. Go to Start / Programs /Accessories / Right click on the Command Prompt / click on Run As Administrator
2. In the administrator command prompt, type in this command "slmgr.vbs -ipk <write your product key in this area>"
3. After you changed your Vista serial number you can activate windows Vista with this command "slmgr.vbs -ato"

How can I find out the Activation Status of my Windows Vista?
1. Go to Start and write CMD in search area and click Enter key. Then your Command Prompt comes up.
2. In the prompt command you write in "slmgr.vbs -dli" and click on Enter
3. After a few seconds you will get a message which is showing your Windows Vista´s Activation Status

An upgrade to Vista is not always warranted
although Microsoft Vista is an excellent product

Vista is the most secure operation system on the planet. In my article I mean upgrade from Vista to Vista. For example if you have Vista Home Premium and you want to upgrade to Vista Ultimate.
