Microsoft will apparently support in Windows "7" the Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) specification, which has created with Microsoft. With the VHD format, the virtual hard drives could be mounted in Windows.

The job advertisement states that Microsoft is looking for employees who want to help, "virtualization into the mainstream". Finally, Windows 7 will support virtual hard drives natively, so that increasing in performance is possible.

Apparently, the development team is very motivated, because "native support for the operating system is on the horizon and the virtualization technology in Windows will be

the best features in Windows 7. VHDs would actually offer a number of advantages, such as making system backups will be significantly easier than before.

Everything you hear in this advertisement, they are Microsoft’s imaginations and you cannot believe all of them, like always. Just because Microsoft is working on something, it does not mean that we will get all those new features in the next generation of Windows which calls Windows 7. The example of Vista makes it particularly clear.

However, the job advertisement is another indication that Microsoft will use more the virtualization technologies in Windows "7", for example, you will be able restoring your older Windows after you have updated your older Windows to Windows 7.
