It was 3 days ago that Microsoft’s Chief Steve Ballmer has gave a three weeks Ultimatum to Yahoo If yahoo would not cooperate with Microsoft. One day after Microsoft’s Ultimatum, Yahoo has reacted very scared that they will think about the Takeover but still Microsoft’s price is very low. Today, Yahoo has announced to work with Google for online advertizing.
The dance for Yahoo’s takeover by Microsoft is entering a new round. Yahoo had announced they will do everything to stop this business with Microsoft and even now they gone so far because Yahoo is showing Google’s advertizing in its search results.
In addition, Yahoo is going to takeover AOL from Time Warner Cable. Meanwhile, Microsoft has to deal with the world’s largest media corporation For Yahoo’s Takeover.
Microsoft had offered around two months ago over 40 Billion US Dollars to purchase Yahoo. The search engine operators, however, rejected the offer as too low. Since then, Microsoft wrestled to the deal with hard bandages. With the recently announced collaboration between Yahoo and Google, Microsoft will have a serious problem.
Yahoo wants to be delivered a small portion of the total Yahoo’s advertizing volume from Google ads. For Microsoft's corporate counsel chief Brad Smith is any cooperation between Yahoo and Google in the advertising market still a red flag.
He said if Google and Yahoo cooperate together then Google will take over 90% of the online advertizing market and it will be very difficult for competitors. But he cannot imagine a possibility of Yahoo and Google monopole.
I believe we will have the same situation if Microsoft and Yahoo would work together. If yes, then Microsoft will control all information from Yahoo, AOL, and MySpace and we won´t have any information security anymore.
The Yahoo-Poker keep going and we should wait and speculate what happens in 2 weeks after Microsoft’s Ultimatum ends. It will be very exciting moment, how Yahoo reacts for this Ultimatum in two weeks.
