Internet Explorer 8 is a series of modifications. In the new version of Internet Explorer we will have many useful new and useful functions and features. After Internet Explorer 7, Microsoft is concentrated in many new features in Internet Explorer 8 (IE8).
You can find the most interesting and important new feature in the address bar, after you start your Internet Explorer 8. It called – Domain Highlighting -. This feature highlights the domain of the website so that user can know if he is in the right website. It is very important for your security when you land in a website with a long address in address bar.
Microsoft is saying that this domain highlighting brings you more security but many developers do not believe in Microsoft statement. It is easier for users to understand the domain name but it does not give you more security.
Christopher Vaughan has published in his blog that the domain highlighting does not work very well because it highlights sometimes the wrong part of link. But it could be because of beta version and Microsoft has to work on it and hopefully they can fix this problem.
This is not the only new feature for links and address bar. Microsoft is trying to make a better and easier user interface in Internet Explorer 8. With IE8 you are able to copy and paste the multiple links in different rows.
Often the webmasters are trying to limit the URLs with inserting spaces and other formats into the URLs. Internet explorer 8 is going to make it easier for users and webmasters. IE8 insert all those spaces and formats automatically, so that each address can be easily inserted into the address bar. It is a new Innovation from Microsoft because we have never seen the same functionality by the competition Firefox and Opera.
Another new feature in Internet Explorer is editing the URLs in the address bar. You can easily click into the link in the address bar and edit it immediately. The idea behind that feature is, that you can surf and edit with less clicks and you can safe time with that.
With double-click you can highlight the word in the URLs and with the third click you can highlight the complete address in Internet Explorer 8. That means save time, and easy editing in the address bar.
There are two other new features in Internet Explorer. One of them is the optional automatic completion of possible entries in the address bar when you are typing new URLs.
On the other hand, Microsoft has made a small change that every user should notice it after installation. In the address bar you had always the possibility to click - Search for ...- but in Internet Explorer they only change the words and it is saying –Got to …-.
There are some changes in Internet Explorer which is not serious on top of the features list. However, it should make a transition for many users if they need them. Some of the new features especially for the address bar are interesting but not too important for everyone.
Here you can read more about new features of Internet Explorer (IE8) and you can download Internet explorer 8 for Windows XP 32bit, Windows Vista 32-bit and Windows Vista 64-bit.
