Over %90 of computer user are running Microsoft Windows as an operation system. Around %25 of Microsoft users are webmasters and they have found the right internet browser and they are surfing in internet with Firefox. But all other %70 are visiting internet with Internet explorer. Microsoft has started a new era after Internet Explorer 7. It is safer, faster and user interface is much friendlier than ever before.
Microsoft has published Internet Explorer 8 beta (IE8 beta) few days ago and in this article I am going to introduce you all new features from Internet explorer 8 (IE8). It is still in beta version and there are still many issues with Explorer 8 but all together it makes a good shape for new generation of Internet Explorer.
The new features by Internet Explorer 8:
Activities: Fewer clicks on the Web
Activities preserve the user from unnecessary clicks that you can integrate frequently used application into the Internet Explorer 8 (IE8). Microsoft is currently supporting 12 categories of services from blogging, finding, last beating, maps, sending, parts and translation in Internet Explorer 8 (IE8).
If a user wanted to find an address from a restaurant, then he had to highlight, copy the name of restaurant and paste it into the Google maps or Microsoft MSN maps. In Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) the maps and directions can be shown automatically and interactively on your Internet explorer without opening a new internet explorer or visiting a third party to find your address. Likewise translate selected texts, suggest a concept for a news service, or blog the highlighted area of the page.
WebSlices: Dynamic content in the new favorite bar.
WebSlices facilitate the handling of dynamic content of a website. It is similar to RSS feeds. The WebSlices are available in the new favorite bar (Favorites Bar). When you go over them with your mouse, it shows interactively the WebSlice about the current status of the eBay auction or weather information. You can set up all in the setting of Internet Explorer 8.
Highlighting domain: For the surfers know where he is.
Highlighting the domain name means for you more Security, because you can immediately see if you are in a right website or not. Microsoft enhances the security of the IE8. Even during installation IE8 checks the computer for defective software.
The phishing protection system in Internet Explorer 8 gets support from the Safety-filter now. It should protect your computer against the malware. Internet Explorer 8 detects dangerous sites based on a blacklist and warns you with a pop-up message. In addition, the user can manually examine suspicious sites or report to Microsoft.
The new domain Highlighting system should provide for additional security: IE8 highlights the main domain in the address bar (Link Bar) on top of your browser with a very dark black color that you can recognize immediately if you are in the right place or not. The rest of the links such as the subdomains and the subfolders are in gray color. It is very important for online banking because you can see if you have landed in the right page or a phishing page.
Crash Recovery: After a crash IE8 keeps working normally.
Microsoft added a new interesting and very important feature in Internet Explorer 8, called Automatic Crash Recovery (ACR). Firefox has already this protection system and it was time for Microsoft to integrate it to IE8 too. If your computer or Internet explorer crashes during surfing in internet, then IE8 will recover all tabs and websites after you start it again.
Development work
Especially Web developers see the Internet Explorer critical. So far Internet Explorer blocks standards in web pages - so the criticism. Standards such as CSS 2.1, sometimes CSS 3.0, HTML and AJAX. But now IE8 is going to support all those standards much better than before.
Summary: IE8 is an Evolution but not a Revolution
Even if the Revolution expected, and further development is the welcome. With CSS 2.1, Microsoft finally does what developers have wanted for long time ago. We should wait and see if IE8 team keeps promises about web standards in the future.

I have tested a number of web projects with the current IE8 beta, and do not believe that the current version already can be called a BETA version.
Because many thing in Internet Explorer that are not standard and they are not standard friendly.
It has problems with box-Modeling and CSS overflow.
I hope, no I pray even, that Microsoft and all these other error still fixes before the official version is released!
Otherwise, I see the long wished standards black again: (

I still do not understand why people think that Firefox is the best browser when they talk about Internet Explorer, although probably Opera is the best ....

I have read many other articles about Internet Explorer 8 Beta and I believe this Article is the most neutral one because he is not talking about IE8 better than Firefox, Opera, or something like that. He is analyzing Internet Explorer 8 that everyone can see what we are going to get in the next version on IE.
I have read an article with the title: Internet Explorer 8: Microsoft's Firefox killer?
I started to laugh because Firefox is always the best choice.
