I have only one thing to say: If you want to be successful in your life you have to be focused on your Goals.
I am also the Founder of Article Inspector
After Microsoft released Windows Vista many people thought it is time for a better Operation System because they were sick with Windows XP security system. But it has been very disappointing after people upgraded from Windows XP to Windows Vista 64-bit or 32-bit.
There is only one reason and it is the performance of Microsoft Windows Vista. It slows down your computer after you start your computer for first time. You feel somehow empty inside of you, after your upgrade from XP to Vista, because Microsoft is not giving you what you really wanted.
If you would like to upgrade from Vista to XP, then you should upgrade your PC too. That means spending money what actually is not necessary.
The most asked question is how can I make my Windows Vista faster without spending any money for new hardware or completely new computer?
Before I go through that I would like to list you what was actually Microsoft´s idea for developing Windows Vista.
1. Accessibility
2. BitLocker Drive Encryption
3. Built-in Diagnostics
4. DirectX 10
5. Encrypting File System
6. Explorers
7. Fast Sleep and Resume
8. Flip and Flip 3D
9. Games Explorer
10. Instant Search
11. Internet Explorer 7 in Windows Vista
12. Internet Explorer 7 Printing
13. Internet Explorer 7 Tabbed Browsing
14. Internet Explorer Dynamic Security Protection
15. Internet Explorer Parental Controls
16. Internet Explorer Protected Mode
17. Live Icons
18. Microsoft Phishing Filter in Internet Explorer
19. Network and Sharing Center
20. Network Diagnostics and Troubleshooting
When you go through all these Microsoft Vista features you can see there are many features we have seen it before in the older versions such as Microsoft Windows 98, 2000, and XP. But why Microsoft finds all these features so important when we have had them before?
There are many other publishers and companies such as Google, Yahoo, Firefox, and etc. who have been making all those features like Instant Searching, Sandbox in Internet Explorer, and Phishing Filter for Windows Operation System for long time ago.
Actually Microsoft wanted to make the most secure Operation System ever but unfortunately they never found the right ways, how to do that. They mixed security with all those new features and the 2D Aero User interface and they have made the slowest Operation ever. But still you can make it faster like Windows XP.
a- Turn off your 3D Aero User Interface. To do that you have to do these step: Start, right click on Computer, properties, Remote Settings, Advanced, Settings for Performance, then deactivate all those listed features such as Animation, and etc. I would say you should turn off all those to get better performance.
b- Disable all unnecessary Services. To do that do these listed steps: Start, Control Panel, at the left side change that to classic view, open Administrative Tools with double click, open Services with double click. In the new Windows that calls Services, you can see there are many services, what Windows Vista is providing, but almost half of them you never need it. You have to open every single service with double click when you want to turn off, then change the Startup Type to disable. Go through all those services and turn off: Application Experience 2- Application Information 3- Application Management 4- Anti External Event Utility 5- Fax 6- Machine Debug Manager 7- Microsoft Office Diagnostics Service 8- Themes 9- Windows Backup 10- Windows Defender 11- Windows Error Reporting Service 12- Windows Search 13- Turn off the Ready Boost
c- Change your automatic update to automatic for only one day a week. To do that you should: Start, Computer (Right Click), Properties, In the left side at the bottom click on Windows Update, In the left side click on Change Settings, Change that to every Friday or whatever you would like and setup the time for that. You should do that because Windows Vista wants to update every day. If you are working on your computer and Windows Vista is looking for update and installing them, your computer could be very slow.
d- Uninstall all unnecessary Applications like duplicated Anti Virus, Security programs, Performance Monitoring, Firewall applications, and etc. It is necessary to uninstall all third party when you are using Microsoft Windows Firewall.
If you have an older computer maybe it is much better to upgrade your Memory and Memory Size.

Hi Ali,
Thank you for your comment. I don´t know what you guys are deactivating. I personally deactivated all services which I am talking about and I don´t have any problem. You should know, you are able to activate them again, but you can see the results, after a restart.
I know what I am talking about and it does not matter, what you deactivate, you can activate it again. You just go to your services and select Automatic.

Hello,
It is easy because you can return it to normal again. Turn on all features which you have turned off. Then you will be ready to go.
If I should understand your question wrong then let me know please.

Ok so i think your going to have to type out how to return it to normal because when you "do exactly the opposite of what you did before" on a- when you get to Remote Settings it wont let you go in to it.

I have the exact list of services in Windows Vista which you can turn off. Of course there are some services you should not turn off but those are not in my list. I believe you turned off wrong services. Let me know what services you turned off and I will help you what to do.

a-To turn on the Aero User Interface, just go back to: Start, right click on Computer, properties, Remote Settings, Advanced, Settings for Performance and click “Let Windows choose what´s best for my computer”
b-Then go back to: Start, Control Panel, at the left side change that to classic view, open Administrative Tools with double click, open Services then open each service, which you turned off with a double click and then change the “Startup Type” to automatic.
After you are done, "restart" your computer and then everything should come back, that you turned off before. I just did it and it worked. Please let me know, if you have any question.

Poor for poorly researched. Ill remember to avoid this website in the future, what a waste of time, now my Vista x64 is f****d up and I've got the same problems as everyone else. Services.msc won't start, regardless of how you try to access the services, nothing goes.

Hi asdf,
I really don´t know why you guys have trouble with that. I tried it and it worked for me. I believe that you are doing something wrong in your step by step description. Sometimes you should double check what you are doing.
