I graduated my college in Architecture and right now I am going to refresh my knowledge and learn more about American Standards at NWTC. I have only one thing to say: If you want to be successful in your life you have to be focused on your Goals.

I have been using Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit Ultimate Edition for almost 6 months. It was hard to believe, that I was able to install this 64 bit operation system. Before I decide to install Vista 64-bit I was looking many days in internet to find out if it is a good idea for a big update.
You know that most of all Microsoft operation system users are running Windows 32-bit (x86). I was one of them too. From 1995 to 2007 we never are able to have a 64-bit operation system but Microsoft has decided to produce 64-bit edition because it is the future. And it was a right decision by Microsoft.
Anyway I would like to write about Windows Vista 64-bit. After reading this article about Vista 64-bit you are able to know it is time for a big update after many years.
The Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit bring you performance, security, stability, reliability and give you tools to access the next generation of PC innovations.
Microsoft says that Windows Vista 64-bit is not for everyone but after my experiences with Vista 64 bit I would say, that everyone who is able to buy a brand new computer with dual core processor he is welcome to start PC with Windows Vista 64-bit.
If you are a serious computer user who use high performance applications I would say go and update your computer to Windows Vista 64-bit because it will bring you over %32 more performance.
I am a CAD user. I use AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Nemetschek and some other 3D Applications like Maya. All my applications are running over %32 faster than before. All my rendering are much faster dome than with Windows Vista 32-bit (x86).
Other side Windows Vista 64-Bit is perfect for Businesses, Architecture offices, engineering companies because they can get their job faster done than others. And they can get more security because Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit has features such as Data Execution Prevention (DEP) and the Patch Guard provide an additional layer of security against threats, while increased memory capabilities improve the performance of applications with high RAM capacity.
Are you a web designer then Windows Vista 64-bit is the best chose for your design business. All Adobe Application are running much faster and you can work with more efficient.
I am not a gamer but I can imagine that all games would run better, faster, and with more security. Windows Vista 64-bit is for serious gamers, high quality media creators and users who are running digital media application on their PCs.
You cannot use Windows 64-Bit right away because you should find out if your hardware is ready for 64-bit edition of Microsoft Windows. You need a system with 64-bit processor and for all your hardware you need 64-bit drivers. If you hardware and drivers are not compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit, then you should look for drivers or you need a new computer with 64-bit processor.
Windows Vista 64-bit edition increases the memory support. You can get the maximum memory capacity.
There are 5 different Windows Vista 64-bit with 5 different memory support:
1- Windows Vista 64-bit Home Basic with 8 GB Memory Support
2- Windows Vista 64-bit Home Premium with 16 GB Memory Support
3- Windows Vista 64-bit Ultimate with 128+ GB Memory Support
4- Windows Vista 64-bit Business with 128+ GB Memory Support

I've been running Vista x64 for a few months now and I agree with the exception of:
"I am not a gamer but I can imagine that all games would run better, faster, and with more security. "
I am a gamer and there are still some games that won't run at all under Vista x64 and the majority of them run faster on XP. It's less because of Vista, though, and more because the video drivers aren't as well optimized for x64 yet.

I've been running Vista 64 Ultimate for the last 6 months and I'm in agreement with Kurt when he says that XP is better for games. I also agree that the video drivers in Vista need improvement, but the OS is also excessively bloated and poorly optimized for gaming. That may come with time, but who knows.
As for the article, it is poorly written, poorly structured, the spelling is horrible, and it gives no real insight into the operating system as a whole.

I agree with you 100 percent. It has been the same all the time when Microsoft publishes a new operation system. You need 1 to 2 years to get all functional drivers and for windows vista 64 bit we will need more time, because it is the biggest update for Microsoft. I wish it comes sometimes we can get all drivers for video devices, sound devices, and other important software.

After reading this article about Vista 64-bit I think I will upgrade to Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit. I bought my brand new computer by HP 3 months ago and I will order my Vista 64-bit Ultimate right now by eBay.
