January 20, 2009 a day of renewal, expectation and momentum. 

I can finally say that I am proud to be an American, for the last eight years my faith in the political system has diminished I was at rock bottom and then Barack Obama came into our lives.

What a phenomenon! I had heard the rumblings of twilight from my young cousins and on the television but I was not about to jump on the tween bandwagon. Then my 40 year old best friend said she was reading them because her 13 year old daughter was, she would go on and on about how incredible they were, there are four books in the series, she said after she picked up the first one she could not put it down she instantly became addicted. I laughed and thought how silly is she to be that excited about a teenage vampire story. It wasn’t until I was walking through the store and I saw a paperback copy, that I thought why not buy a copy at least I could say I read it so I picked it up.
